Disruptor’s Handbook is running a hackathon for international mining company, MMG, at their headquarters at Freshwater Place in Southbank from 29 November - 1 December. And we want to give our subscribers and their freiends and networks a chance to be part of this important event with a discount on a limited number of tickets.
The hackathon is focused on solving data science and analysis, engineering and internet of things problems for their operations mining copper, zinc, silver and gold in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Laos, Australia and Peru. The main event is happening all day Friday and Saturday to ensure that build teams get access to the global network of experts during the Friday, when most teams need access to staff members to validate their ideas. The challenges to be addressed at the hackathon are around improving the sustainability and environmental impact of MMG’s operations.
There’s a $10,000 prize pool, there’s a chance to get work with MMG in an internship, and each team will get a member of the MMG staff to work with to build solutions. So there are some serious relationship building opportunities here.
If you are interested in participating in this groundbreaking hackathon, visit to apply to be part of the action. Use the ‘VIP’ discount code to get discounted entry.
And please feel free to pass this message on to anyone you think may also be interested in getting involved!
