October is Mental Health Month and given the year we’ve had, we believe that this year it is more important than ever to take some time to reflect on and look after your mental health.
In NSW, we have spent the last four months in lockdown, away from friends and family. Many of us have been working from home, dealing with new and unprecedented responsibilities such as managing all of the complications our own technology and internet can bring. We should not underestimate the impact that all of these changes can have on our mental health.
During Mental Health Month, our friends at BEING - Mental Health Consumers will be amplifying the voice of lived experience and tackling some important discussions around mental health and human rights.
They will be hosting a series of free webinars every Thursday in October featuring an exciting panel of guest speakers. During each webinar they’ll be exploring the theme of “Reclaiming Our Rights”, with panellists discussing the many and varied ways we can advocate for change.
